The program aims to prepare advanced practitioners to provide a range of clinical and advocacy services to vulnerable children, adolescents and their families. Graduates will promote the well-being and functioning of their clients by engaging in ethical, culturally competent, and evidence-informed practice and by demonstrating a strong commitment to social/economic justice. Meet our panelists: Carolin Bautista is a Dialysis Social Worker at Fresenius who provides case management, conducts mental health assessments, and utilizes clinical discernment to refer patients to outside mental health providers when needed. Her role also involves offering short-term counseling. Carly Deliman is a Social Worker with the Department of Veteran Affairs. Carly works with veterans ages 18 - 80 in a mental health and outpatient setting. She also has previous experience in school settings, an assisted living home, and the acute psychiatric unit at the Veterans Hospital. Khiara Noriega, LSW, is a Social Worker who has worked with clients ages 4 - 65. She has extensive experience working with mandated clients in various settings and has also served as an Intensive In-Community Clinician. Currently Khiara leads a Tier 3 Program with Effective School Solutions. Registration is no longer available because the registration deadline has passed.
