International Graduate Student Orientation

Global Compass: Navigating Your Graduate Experience

This orientation experience will be in TWO required parts and provide you with all of the information needed for a successful transition to your studies at Montclair State University.

Part I (pre-arrival online webinar series)

You must attend each webinar topic ONE time. The webinars will be offered multiple times per month from May to June.

Webinars:

• American Culture and You: Tips for a Successful Transition
• Money Matters: What you need to know about your finances 
• I want a job! The facts about employment in the U.S.

Part II (post-arrival in person orientation)

You must attend the in-person session on Wednesday, August 27, 2025. The in-person session will be offered in the morning or afternoon, you only need to attend ONE session. Please do not register for the in-person orientation session until (1) you have attended all 3 online webinars, and (2) received your visa to attend Montclair.
