Clinical Psychology (PhD)

Montclair's STEM-designated PhD in Clinical Psychology prepares doctoral students to become highly skilled researchers and practitioners through a scientist-practitioner model of training. In this session, you'll learn how the program integrates rigorous academic study, supervised clinical experience, and a strong commitment to individual and cultural diversity to prepare graduates for advanced professional practice.

Study in an APA-accredited doctoral program grounded in the integration of science and clinical practice.
Pursue areas of emphasis in clinical child psychology or forensic psychology.
Complete at least six semesters of practicum experience followed by a full-year, full-time predoctoral internship.
Build profession-wide competencies in assessment, intervention, consultation, ethics, research, and culturally responsive clinical care under licensed supervision.
