The MS in Sustainability Science is an interdisciplinary graduate program that integrates science, policy and practical tools to prepare you for leadership roles in environmental sustainability. You'll gain advanced knowledge in environmental monitoring, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), data analysis and sustainable resource management.

Choose Your Sustainability Concentration

General Concentration

Develop advanced environmental science and analytical skills through study of monitoring, GIS, geochemistry, energy systems and research.

Sustainability Leadership

Combine sustainability science with policy, ethics, communication and organizational management for leadership roles in sustainability.

Research & Fieldwork

Apply classroom learning through research projects, fieldwork and collaborations with faculty experts on real-world sustainability challenges.

Capstone Experience

Complete a technical capstone, internship or applied research project that connects your studies to professional practice.

During the Program

Integrate environmental science, policy and practical sustainability tools
